WHO WE ARE

Exercise for Life is a movement to encourage individuals with weight or obesity related issues to Exercise their way to Life.

The philosophy behind this movement is to encourage and not discourage folks with weight or obesity-related issues and other medical conditions, to Exercise their way to Life. The objective is Complete and not Compete. The rationale is to Start and Sustain and not give up and hence the core values of the Exercise for Life.

INSPIRE & GET INSPIRED

One of the partners of Exercise for Life benefited tremendously from the encouragement and support that Society has given him, and thereafter decided to start this movement and help others benefit the same. To date, he has inspired 3 other individuals to start on this journey of transformation. Though it’s a small number, it’s a start and Every Baby Step Will Lead to the Goal of encouraging the Masses to Exercise for Life.

Like the old saying goes:
Journey of Thousand Miles begins with a Single Step.

OBESITY IS NOT THE END

Many of us have the perception that having weight-related issues or being Obese is the end of the Road. We lose our Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem and think that the World owes us a living. Alas, we are wrong, no-one owes us a Living and we owe it to ourselves to take care of our bodies and more importantly our life, i.e. its quality. Having weight issues or being obese, it’s like a marathon and does not happen overnight. It takes years of doing the wrong things – eating the wrong types of food, eating excessively like there is no tomorrow and not exercising because we do not have time.

It's often difficult to induce change or be motivated when we're on our own. Exercise for Life gathers people who face the same issues so we can take bigger strides in changing our lives for the better. Together.

  • Sanjeev had awaken me and allowed me to pursue with all zeal and tenacity to get to the real end of my true purpose and destiny. I'd seen glimpses of a different me. It was a different me because in those increments of time I thought I actually became a winner. A true leader is the one who leaves memorable footprints of nobility. A leader who is decisive enough and have all the guts to take bold, frank decisions and lead on despite his on pitfalls and sufferings. Sanjeev is such a person.

I am an accidental athlete. Growing up disliking endurance sports, I was one of those playful kids who would do anything to escape the weekly 2.4km run round the track. While I enjoy going to the pool, I never learnt how to swim, not even in the army where I was always in so-called “chicken pox”...
